Our School
Jiseikan is an Aikido school founded by Roman Limarev, currently 5th dan of Aikido.
The school was founded in 1995 and is the first in Ukraine where the Yoshinkan style of Aikido was initially taught.
The name of the school was given by master Hiromichi Nagano (8th dan Aikido Nisshinkan / Yoshinkan) and is translated from Japanese as “a place that is a source of development.”
The wisdom of Master Nagano and his foresight in choosing the name for the dojo turned out to be prophetic, since subsequently from the walls of the Jiseikan school more than one generation of worthy students and Aikido instructors emerged, more than 60 holders of black belts who currently teach the art of Aikido in many cities of Ukraine, Czech Republic and USA.
Our History
The school was founded in 1995. Almost from the very foundation of the school, in addition to Aikido, Roman Limarev Sensei taught students additional disciplines - Judo, Kendo and Karate. In this regard, as part of the study of Aikido in children's and youth groups, young aikidokas additionally receive wrestling and fencing skills and have the opportunity to participate in various competitions.
To improve the sports and fighting qualities of students, the Combat Aikido application system has been developed, within the framework of which contact fights (including work with traditional weapons) and competitions are held.
Over time, the Jiseikan school became the interregional center of Aikido Yoshinkan in Ukraine, uniting clubs and regional federations of Aikido Yoshinkan into one friendly family, which united into the organization "Aikido Yoshinkai of Ukraine", the honorary curators of which were master Kyoichi Inoue (10 dan Aikido, Japan) and master Hiromichi Nagano (8th dan Aikido, Germany).
Aikido Yoshinkai of Ukraine regularly conducts training and certification seminars, international master classes, winter and summer camps.
